How long tetanus injection lasts

I was injured 4 months back from a rusty iron plate and had taken tetanus injection then. Today again I got another injury by hitting to an iron shutter, do I need to take tetanus injection again? How long generally the effect of injection lasts?

it works for five year minimal, so usually when we have injury we go for vaccination. since we usually dont go for tetnus vaccination
