Horseness from last 5-6 Months Age 67

Hello everyone, My Father age 67 is having horseness of voice from last 5-6 months, as he is actively involved in bhajan singing, we thought its due to that. But as it’s not going away we consult ENT and he shown us some white part on vocal flaps. He suggesting of having a surgery to remove that part. So not sure what to do next, he is saying it’s urgent and we need to do it as soon as possible. Please guide on what should we do next. Thanks a lot.

Any hoarseness of voice with lesion in the vocal cords at age of 64 years needs to be biopsied immediately. He needs to undergo micro laryngeal examination and biopsy. Depending on the results treatment is planned
