High sugar value

He was recently diagnosed with high sugar value of 275mg before fasting and 508 after2 hours. It's alarmingly high and pretty scared with HBa1ç standing at 13.5%. he is being advised to take metamorphism and insulin to reduce but I'm confused with many advising with its side effects and to try LCHF diet for reducing it. Please advice..

So i agree with you that the sugar values are alarming and need immediate review. He will need drugs and insulins at present. The side effects of these are minimal as compared to benefits.

Please consult me or a good Diabetologist for immediate workup.. Also the diet modifications in these are supportive but not effective alone
