Dear Doctors, Good Evening My brothers age is 18 years, whenever i check the Spo2 and HR in pulse oximeter, the results are Spo02 above 98% and HR is above 100, which ranges between 100-110 bpm. I want to ask you that why the heart rate is above 100 Bpm. He is not having any breathing issue. But having itchy throat and he is on medication Debact-500, Paracetamol and L all FX. Can the Heart rate above is due to some recent infection?. But before the infection the HR was also above 100-110 BPM. Does he has any serious issue?

Heart rate can be high due to infection, anxiety or high activity. It will vary during whole day also. Have done any report before taking antibiotics for throat infection?
Next Steps
Measure it after taking proper rest. If its due to anxiety it will become below 100 during rest.
Health Tips
Nothing serious issue. Consult doctor if any other symptoms and before taking any medication.
