Was married, I have herpes, but my ex don,t was disgnoised 6 mos ago. Could I have got them from him or years before him only one partner after him.

Don't have to know the origin ....and don't have to blame anyone. Just get complete treatment for herpes am sure you'll be alright . Improve your immunity and such viruses will not bother you.
