Hello sir,My mother is facing heavy hair fall after being operated with hysterectomy in march 1st week,Hysterectomy operated was OPEN surgery.In the beginning hair loss was not much,but now the level of hair loss has increased a lot,have not consulted to any Doctor yet.plz suggest what is the reason & solution to it.

Hi there.. after hysterectomy surgery, many face this problem of hair loss.. the causes for post hysterectomy hair loss could be the stress due to major surgery, or hormonal imbalance caused due to removal of ovaries with uterus or due to hormonal replacement therapy taken after hysterectomy.. consult trichologist/dermatologist once..
