You might be suffering age related sensorineural hearing loss known as presbyacusis. In this condition because of age hearing nerve becomes weak and you will have difficulty in hearing and understanding feeble sounds. You need to undergo complete audiological tests such as PURE TONE AUDIOGRAM. Depending on the results treatment can be planned. Usually hearing aids are helpful in this condition
