Headache once a week

My husband is 32 and works as a software engineer. He gets headache on the left side of forehead, behind eye ball for about 5 years now. The pain is severe and can be described like stabbing and it occurs in pulses. It occurs usualy on weekends when he skips sleep or over sleeps or when he is in a place he doesn't enjoy. Very rarely he throws up when having an headache and feels better immediately after. He isn't having eyesight problem. He has got CT And MRI scans done with negative result. Please help.
