Good evening, madam. Copper - T is one of the best temporary contraceptive measure available today. Compared to oral contraceptive pills, which has many side effects and barrier methods (condoms) which has failure rate relatively high, copper-T is safer, one time insertion (Opd procedure) and gives protection upto 5 to 10 yr(depends on which copper - T you use), and easily removable if you need it no more. Coming to side effects it's 1)some people experience relatively more bleeding during periods,, but not level of problem 2)perforation of uterus during procedure,-experienced gynecologist has very minimum perforation chances to the negligible level 3)spontaneous expulsion- at that time can get reinserted with new one. We insert Copper - T daily, in our OPD,, it's safer,, and go ahead with it madam,, and consult good gynecologist for the copper - T insertion
