As stated by earlier doctors, gummy smile is constituted by multiple possible factors: the jaw bones, the teeth, the gums, and the lips. Depending on which factor is resulting in the gumminess of the smile, treatment can be suggested. For example, if you have a long face, where in your upper jaw has grown more downward than normal, the best option is to perform jaw surgery to reduce the height of the upper jaw. If ur lips lift up too much during a smile, botox injection to reduce the over activity of the lip would be beneficial. If ur teeth are forwardly placed, consider orthodontic treatment.
Next Steps
Get ur smile evaluated by a good cosmetic dentist or an Orthodontist
Health Tips
Understand the cause of the problem. Do NOT jump into any major treatment unless you are convinced that it is going to correct your situation.
