General questions for baby feeding

Hello, My 5months old baby girl is exclusively on breastmilk feeding. My pediatrician in Tamilnadu advised only bm till completion of 180 days, not even water as bm contains water. But elders in home are forcing to give water, also they want to start solids right away. Is it safe to start solids now or should i wait for 180 days completion of my baby girl. TIA

Start after 6 months of age....only exclusive breastfeeding till 6 months of age
