My mom is advised to go through coloscopy. Is there any alt to that as she is scared of it as some pipe has to be inserted inside stomach. She is having frequent stools.

Alternatively we can do CT / MR colonoscopy. But it is depends upon the indication for colonoscopy. If she was recommended colonoscopy for identifying mucosal lesions, then ideal one is colonoscopy itself.
