Frequent bowel movements

I have observed in the last 6 months or so that my bowel movements has increased from once a day to 2-3 times a day. I have no other symptoms/problems over the last 6 months (like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain etc). I sip water throughout the day and drink between 2-2.5 liters. The last time I did a master health check up (Feb 2017), I was diagnosed with "fatty infiltration of liver". From further research I understand that mine is Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver (NAFL) since I am non-alcoholic. My BMI: 27.5, and I have high triglyceride levels as of Feb 2017. Question(s): 1. Should I be concerned about the increased bowel movements ? 2. Are the bowel movements a direct consequence of NAFL ? 3. If I address NAFL by reducing my weight and bad cholestrol levels, can I expect an improvement in the bowel movements ?
