How fistulectomy is perfomed, Does proctoscopy need to be done before performing this procedure on operation day Pl advice

Proctoscopy should be considered before fistulectomy to check whether internal opening of the fistula can be appreciated or not. As well proctoscopy will help to confirm any internal hemorrhoid, if present, so that it can be treated during the same sitting.
