I am female 61 years .i have cholesterol sugarthyroid bp problems.my liver enzymes also increased. Ggtp 186.4 FIB 4 INDEX 3.831 Sgot 126.1 Sgpt 90.7 Should i take medicine for fatty liver ? Regards Sushmita mohindru

It's Metabolic Associated Fatty Liver Disease ..along with significant fibrosis ✓SGOT > SGPT with raised GGT (186) suggest  fatty liver with inflammation ✓Medicines and  lifestyle changes ,BOTH are needed

✓FibroScan (Transient elastography) to be done to Confirm liver  fibrosis stage (important as you have  high FIB-4) ✓hepattis B and C screening

she is having NASH, rule out other viral causes of hepatitis n other autoimmune causes,  if everything rules out , then mediations for NASH to be started asap
