Fetal pole not seen in 8 week

My LMP is 15 Dec. Doc said I am 8 weeks pregnant. But scan shows gestational age as 5 weeks 3 days and heart beat not seen. Doc sais usual size is 6mm but yolk sac measures 9.8mm. She said to come after 10 days and do a scan again to check if heart beat is there , otherwise its an abnormality. If I wait for 10 more days, will it cause more problems? Are these signs of miscarriage?

What  your doctor told is correct. This  time period  required to  know  how  pregnancy is  going to  progress. At this period of pregnancy, we only  need to  watch  and check  again  by scan.
