I think you should know that fecal microbiota transplantation ( FMT ) is procedure where a healthy persons stool is taken, which is examined properly and a healthy flora is isolated, which is introduced into another person's gut through colonoscopy.... The main idea behind this is to provide natural protective flora to a person who's gut is devoid of it due to excessive antibiotics usage and who is susceptible to clostridium infections which is common in excessive destruction of protective flora through antibiotics.... FMT is still under clinical trial stage, which is done by only handful in U.S even there it is not done everywhere...Some of the physicians believe that its helpful in IBS and crohn disease but it is not yet proved....
