I have get information from many local doctor and. Medical practitioner that till you low infection no need to take fabiflu but it should be used only for mild covid patients so why many doctors not perscribe fabiflu initially if patient does not have any other problem like allergy, diebetic , not preganant and like normal patient

Favipiravir has been approved for influenza virus pandemic.
It is still under trial for COVID.It is used to treat mild covid infections for faster clearance of virus.
Fabiflu has many side effects like nausea, gastritis, increased sleep etc.
Many side effects are yet unknown as covid is a new disease.
Hence doctors prescribe it depending upon the risk of side effects versus the benefit in outcome of covid infection.
Since there is 'no Final consensus and data' regarding its use in covid, some doctors may prescribe it and some may not.
