I have hyperthyroid from past six months. I am on medicines since then. I think I have eye thyroid as well. I have read that it is caused by smoking. I don't smoke, will I still be affected by eye thyroid?

Hi....., Eye thyroid is also known as Graves ophthalmopathy.... Graves' disease is an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid gland..... Anti thyroid medications are generally used for graves disease...... Other treatment options include radio active iodine, surgery.... The treatment that is best for you will depend on many factors. Antithyroid drugs and RAI – or a mix of both – often are preferred....
