I am myopic with left eye - 2.25 D and right eye -5D. I have problem of dry eyes so I have been using everfresh tears . I have started seeing some floaters ( 2 to 3 to be exact ) in my vision . They do not hinder my sight much but I am afraid of it . Doctor , can floaters be dangerous? And any supplement I can use to keep my retina and eyes healthy ? Thanks doctor

Hello, Myopics often have symptoms of floaters due to vitreous liquefaction and traction on the retina. Though floaters themselves are harmless, you must get your retina evaluated to rule out other retinal diseases.

Please get a dilated retinal examination to see if there is any retinal defect. Many times floaters are normally seen in Myopes.
