Steroid eye drops shud always be used under d supervision of an ophthalmologist. They may relieve d symptoms but worsen d condition. U can try hot fomentation and plain antibiotic eye drops.... Zymar eye drops 6 times a day.
Next Steps
if infection is not decreasing consult an ophthalmologist
Health Tips
if u r having infection plz maintain hygiene otherwise d infection may spread to others. clean ur hands thoroughly after touching it eyes

though it's not toxic but as it contains  steroids hence in activ infection it flares up the infections.  so it should not be used in infected eyes.
