Electric shock like senasation

Sir, my father is experiencing electric shock like sensations since past 2days which starts from hips to toes. It is sudden and the pain is severe. He even can't walk during these periods now. Earlier also, he would experience this kind of feeling however those would go off in a day after taking a pain killers. Would appreciate your reply on how to take care and which specialist to show. Thanks in advance
