Ear pressure after flight

2015-12-03 01:25:03
Around 3 weeks ago, was traveling by flight and had cold. During flight descent, experienced pressure problem in right ear. Started paining severely, took pain killers over next 2 days. Pain subsided but pressure has not normalised since then. Trying to blow out or suck in hard after pinching my nose, but no success.

you might have suffered from barotrauma to ear due to sudden changes in atmospheric pressure during decent. which will lead to collection fluid and sometimes blood in your middle ear. usually this condition resolves spontaneously and may take a week or so for complete resolution. continue doing pressure equalization exercises. visit nearby ENT specialist if symptoms persist
