During normal pregnancy Macgest SR 300

I have a normal pregnancy, my period cycle is of 28 days. On April 28 2017 , I had my last mensuration. Yesterday on 26 May 2017 , I tested urine and found to be pregnant. I visited one Doctor nearby . He suggested me to have Folic acid and the medicine Macgest SR 300 for first 90 days. As I am completely fit now, whether to have Macgest SR 300 is advisable or it can be avoided. Is there any side affect in the case , one is having .

Macgest tablets are a natural form of the pregnancy hormone progesterone. This hormone supports the pregnancy and prevents miscarriage.  Normally the pregnant lady produces enough progesterone to maintain the pregnancy. However if your doctor feels the pregnancy is weak he may give you progesterone tablets. Since this is a natural form there are no effects  on baby
