I am likely to get married to a boy whose sister has down syndrome.since it is genetic are there chances of the syndrome showing up in the kids? As it runs in the blood can the siblings and there kids be affected by it,?

Down syndrome usually happens to children born to old mother's , So have children before the age of 35 for best results and without chances of genetic effects
