I took pain killers for my tooth pain 1 year back since then my acid reflux issue started. Endoscopy report is lax les and reflux esophagitis. Does pain killers weakens the sphincter? Because I haven't faced acid reflux issue prior of taking pain killers.

The pain killers have caused gastritis and erosions, small ulcers. The acid production increased and your lax sphincter which initially was asymptomatic is now symptomatic and making you aware of the problem. Also H pylori needs to be ruled out
Next Steps
The patient should get an endoscopy to see the grade of laxity and biopsy for H. Pylori
Health Tips
Tip is not to take spicy oily heavy foods Avoid lying down for at least 2 hours after meals
