Does macbery syrup increases wet cough or cloff 500 tablet or lmontus abl. My father gets caught up with productive cough and has been given these medicines

Need to find out the cause of the cough before treating it.Macbery will bring about symptomatic relief as it has cough suppressents and phlegm thinner.Cloff 500 is an antibiotic ,it will help if he has an infection.L montus abl is not needed as the cough syrup already has similar drugs.
