Hi,
I consulted a general physician regarding random stabbing pain on chest, which lasts for a month.
I got adviced to take CT chest. The following is the statement from report.
"Few centrilobular emphysematous changes noted in the bilateral lower lobes"
1) Does it is the cause for the chest discomfort?
2) How severe the disease is?
3) Is it curable?
4) What are the precautions to take from getting it worse
Note: I don't have drinking / smoking habits
Please provide your suggestion on this.
Stabbing pain does not occur in emphysema.it is not curable but treatable and manageable.avoid pollution, use face masks. ICS+laba inhalation twice daily to continue. LFT may be done to assess severity.
