Does diabetic patients have anger
My father is above the age of 72 having diabetes and high BP. He always gets into a temper for small reasons. With families and outsiders.
Is this issue related to the above reasons. Or could their be any other reason.
He stays at home mostly alone. As others work.
Activity at home is the tv.
Is their any connection with depression?
He wants things to be done his way. Anything not done his way gets him worked up. Until not done his way he keeps thinking of ways to get it done his way.
Gets very irritated with small things.
Hypertension can cause irritability and frequent anger outburst. The reason being persistent heaviness and headaches.
However the presenting symptoms are markers of mood disorder. The nature and extent of lability requires mental status examination.

Considering your father’s age and H/o diabetes and blood pressure he would need assessment of his memory to R/o senile dementia exaggerated by vascular risk factors.
dementia with coexisting depression has to be ruled out .
May be his memory is affected which he is not able to communicate which might have made him more irritable
Or it could be only depression presenting with irritablity, poor concentration affecting his memory.
Have you noted him to be confused or hard of hearing or any recurrent urine infection or any h/ o alcohol use.
We have to r/o physical health issues as well
