Does alcohol compromise efexor xr 75mg?

Can I drink a glass of wine ( red or white ) whilst on efexor xr 75mg...say 2 or 3 times a week? I can completely abstain if this is crucial but I enjoy a drop of red...and I am going to France next year!

Hello there. I can understand your concern. .i strongly suggest you don't drink alcohol when you are on Medications. Any medications for that matter not just venlafaxine. You may feel very drowsy when you take alcohol. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
