Doctor letter affecting Diagnoses?

I have been having chronic health issues for about 10 years and 1 Dr wrote a really nasty letter about me to other doctors, basically accusing me of faking my issues. When I reported this to the hospital the Dr apologized for the letter. But I am still having a lot of physical problems. Could that terrible letter be preventing me from getting proper care?
