Patient's muscular dystrophy leads to sedentary life which might have become a cause for increased sugar levels. Both conditions needs to be treated.   Ayurveda mentions certain Rasayana medicines which can take care if both conditions. Also just one type of food doesn't help. Certain millets are heavy to digest and need to be taken in moderate amount.   Good range of medicines like suvarnakalpas can be useful in his condition after proper consultation from a learned Ayurveda practitioner.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  You just need to continue the yablets as suggested by the physician. In food you just need to avoid foods with high glycemic index foods. You can use jowar, bajra etc. High fiber foods can be given. Consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management.  Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
