What are the possible tests that can help in determining depression's cause when mwds don't work. I have heard about following, are they required to be done: 1.Thyroid 2.B12 3.D3 4.Testosterone etc

For ruling out depression a detailed psychological evaluation is done and not the test that you have mentioned. Consultant a Clinical Psychologist for evaluation and therapy.

To diagnose depression u must consult online or offline to a physician or psychologist. Ur case history is the mirror of ur mental status . In case of mental disorders laboratory tests are less significant than clinical investigation and case history.
