Hello. It seems like you are very sensitive to what your friends have to say to you since them teasing you instantly puts you in a state of sadness and fear. Most of the times when friends tease each other it’s just out of fun because it boosts their self esteem which is very common at this age. It could be possible that you’re looking at it as more severe than what it actually is.
However, there’s a difference between harmless teasing between friends and bullying. Familiarise yourself with both and try to figure out what your friends’ actions fall under.
Next Steps
It’s important to find out why you are this sensitive to the teasing and why it puts you in a shell where you can’t react to them. Speaking to a psychologist could definitely help you figure that out.
If you don’t want to do that, then try looking at it as absolutely harmless. If you act as if it doesn’t bother you they might even stop eventually. If you react in fear and sadness, you’re giving them what they want and they’ll continue doing it.
Remember, nobody has the power to control your mood and happiness. Giving them this power could make you extremely vulnerable and increase your sensitivity to what anyone has to say about you. You can’t control their actions but you sure can control your reactions.
