Covid 19...
I am a nurse and I am doing covid duty from last 5 mont. My question is what happens if I am doing long duration covid duty rotation.
Medical service providers like us (doctors,nurses,lab technicians) are always more prone for chance of getting infection as we r continuously getting exposed to virus. If we r in icu we r getting PPE and we r getting protected. Most cases r from those who work without PPE like in general ward where we dont know the patient status.
So if u r using PPE the chance of getting infected is low. But keep in mind " IT IS NOT JUST PPE USAGE IS IMPORTANT BUT THE DOFFING PROCEDURE IS RATHER MORE IMPORTANT . IF WE DONT FOLLOW CORRECTLY THE PROTOCOL IN DOFFING( REMOVING PPE ) THE CHANCES OF INFECTION IS HIGH
