Hello, I went through your query, since when he is coughing,, is it started recently, that is few days back? Then it could be lower respiratory tract infection... If it is from very long time it could be more chronic condition like asthma, COPD etc... For any conclusion he needs to undergo physical examination.. Please consult pulmonologist...
