Cough with fever and with other symptoms may indicate a chronic disease. A dry or wet cough with breathing difficulty may be seen with asthma and COPD. Getting the lung volumes checked would be a good idea as well. Chronic acidity can be seen with heart burn as well and taking over the counter antacids like Omeprazole may help.
