My son started to behave abnormally in August..he lips ,eyes were shivering n mouth watering.later doc said it's convulsions....he use to get seizures more than 10-11 times a day...now his medications have started n he has stopped getting seizures but the doc says that we should continue medication for 2-3 years..is this mandatory to continue so long the medicines...also my son is having arachnoid cyst ...is this cyst a concern...will it affect the child in future as it can grow in size...

Yes, medication needs to be taken regularly. Arachnoid cyst grows very very slowly. Only after MRI we can be sure if the arachnoid cyst is symptomatic or not. Also, EEG will help to localize the focus
