Difference between Indian implants and imported implants is like Mercedes and Maruti. It can not be compared. Both can be used and satisfactory to its user. Some Indian implants may not have approval from US FDA. There are different implants on femoral side and tibial side. I prefer ready to use loops like close loop or adjustable loops for femur fixation. I don't use handmade loops made of merselene tape. I've never used them. For tibial fixation, there are metallic screws like titanium screw or bio screws which may either degrade automatically with time or get converted to bone later on. I prefer imported implants because they definitely have advantage of better quality.
