Cold, cough, high fever post 2nd dose

My wife took covishield vaccination 2nd dose on 6th Sept and from 9th Sept, she is having cold, cough, throat pain and 102 fever. Is this the outcome of vaccination ? Can she have contracted COVID-19 Thanks in advance for your response.

No, it is not an outcome of the vaccine. This is a weakened viral vector vaccine which cannot cause a disease the only outcome of this vaccine is antibody generation. Antibody generation can cause symptoms like body pain and fever. Cough and throat pain can be a result of anxiety associated with the illness or most like a upper respiratory infection. A vaccine is not effective to until 14-18 days post second dose.

Its not due to vaccination, yes it can be covid. Start proper medications and some blood tests will also be needed along with RTPCR test.
