Cold and cough in infant
My boy is going to complete 4 months by 4 days.by past 5 days he is having cold and cough.my ped prescribed (syrup of cetirizine hydrochloride and ambroxol hydrochloride )for cold and (levosalbutamol syrup)for cough for 4 days 1.5 ml each twice a day but he is still having cold and worst cough.plz suggest me some home remedies.note .i too hv cold
Hi thanks for writing to Practo consult. It seems like baby has viral cold. If baby has no fever or difficulty in breathing and feeding, then u may continue same medicine. Meanwhile you may use saline nasal drops before every feed and keep Nose clear off mucus. Also keep baby hydrated by offering plenty of fluids and fruit juice to get hydration. If baby is only on breastfeeding, then increase frequency of feeding.
