Spores or fungus are present in our environment in many forms. It's impossible to avoid.. but you should maintain personal hygiene and take adequate precautions  like washing hands and surface  if you come in contact with fungus. Mucormycosis is not likely due to surface spores or fungus. Cause is still not definite but many theories are there.
