Hi. Tricuspid valve prolapse can lead to palpitations. There can be undue strain on the heart leading to rhythm disturbances because of which you may be having the inconsistent heart rates. I am presuming you have not consulted a cardiologist because I think you should be put on Beta Blockers and a couple of medications. Unfortunately, this may be happening time and again because of the underlying disease that you have. I would suggest that you take the opinion of a cardiologist/cardiothoracic surgeon about operative intervention âbecause if left untreated, TV prolapse will have a negative outcome on your heart.
