Hi Doctor, My brother aged 20 had undergone a open skull surgery for a right cerebral infarct with decompressive craniotomy and its been 18 days now post surgery. Still he didn't opened his eyes nor any action from his body.. Can we expect a response from him? His lungs /heart and other parts are normal.

He might improve as it's on the right side.moreover the  improvement varies from patient to patient and there is no generalised rule.your Neurosurgeon will be able to advise better as he knows the complete details of patient
