Cataract after retina de attachment

I heard that after having the past history of retinal deattachment, when cataract is developed then the implant of multifocal Lens is not possible, in such cases mono focal lens are implanted in the patients eye. Is it so ? Please guide me in this regard. We don't have budget issues and want the best available treatment is this regards.

inspite of good reattachment the normalcy is not attained  in rd cases .and in multifocal cases ,where you have to be little more precise in discriminating the different levels of vision .it becomes difficult to adjust. hence in such cases unifocal are the best choice.
