Canker Sore on my Penis

There is this sore that looks exactly like a canker sore (the kind that appears in your mouth) that is right under the head of my penis. There is a sharp pain when I touch or rinse with clean water. I am not sure if it is a serious problem. I have not had sexual contact with anyone.
