Butt lifting from bench

When you do a bench press how harmful is it and does it matter if you lift your butt off the bench to do reps

It's not harmful if you use right weights as per your muscle strength and do appropriate reps.. And yes lifting butt matters when you do bench press... Position of your pelvis needs to be corrected and ensure it doesn't puts pressure upon your back... Consult to a physiotherapist if available in your gym... Do under supervision
