Bump on scalp
I've had a bump on the left side on my scalp for a year or so, but just recently it's started to become bigger and Is very tender. I'm not able to sleep on that side because it hurts so much, last night I woke up with ringing in my left ear as well. The bump is quite hard it's not red or has any discoloration and seems to be underneath my scalp.
Hello... This is Dr. Pavan. Glad to answer ur query. The sebaceous cysts are common on the scalp and tend to persist for long time without any symptoms. Sometimes due to secondary infection it can show few signs of inflammation like pain etc. By the information given, high chances are there that it might be the same. However without looking at or examining, coming to a diagnosis is difficult.
Next Steps
Co suit a skin specialist or a surgeon, who might diagnose it and suggest the treatment, which will be a surgical Excision and antibiotics if it is an infected sebaceous cyst.
