the patient above has been diagnosed with post partum psychosis.whatever medications has been prescribed are essential for mother mental  well being so that she can take care of child properly.  even if the mother is breast feeding medications can be taken . after taking medications breast feeding should be avoided for next 4-5 hours . mother can express her milk before taking medications and child can be given expressed breast milk during that 4- 5 hrs when child demands milk
