Blood transfusion emergency

There's a very serious emergency. My uncle has met with an accident and has had a blood loss. Now doctor wants to infuse blood but since there's lot of swelling in the entire body and multiple fractures so doctors are not able to find any vein. They are saying the only resort is to directly infuse blood in heart through a vein near collar bone. But they are also saying that there's a risk of heart attack since my uncle's cholesterol level are high. Doctors want my family to sign "informed consent" form before infusing blood. So my family was asking whether there's any other way to infuse blood or they should take him to Lucknow or some other hospital.

The thing doctor wanted to say was a central venous line and since it is a procedure (kind of surgery), informed consent is done. A central venous line can also be done at groin region if there is no injury there. Even as per your description, your uncle's accident is of major kind so the condition is critical and so doctor should get a risk bond consent from the patient's relative.
Health Tips
You should take your uncle to a center where critical trauma care is available.
